Private sessions offer one to one therapeutic time for the client and therapist. Specific need and goals can be addressed and plans can be put into place.
Group sessions offers the opportunity to both receive support from others and to give support to others. Both of these elements are important in treatment. Receiving support from others is part of the bonding or therapeutic alliance that occurs in groups, whereas giving support to others allows for growth and learning.
Attending workshops can help the client get acquainted with Ecotherapy in a comfortable group setting with like minded people.
Don‘t live in the area but still feel you would benefit from Ecotherapy? Zoom sessions are an excellent resource for those who are far away. During an online session we can work with indoor ecotherapy activities and I will assign outdoor tasks to be completed between sessions.
We offer a expanded list of local parks, hiking trails, and gardens that we can meet in when you are ready to take your sessions outside. If you have an outdoor space you are more comfortable in, I am willing to travel up to 30 miles for a session to meet you in your preferred setting.
Seasonally offered in my gardens or yours. I’m a avid gardener and would love to teach you how gardening helps to lower blood pressure, reduce stress and increase cognitive functioning. Whether it’s a small windowsill garden or acres of manicured lawn, making a connection to nature through gardening is a valuable tool to help fight stress and anxiety.
Workshops are offered for free on a monthly basis. We will generally meet at a central location, do a sensory walk, identify nature allies, and connect our minds, bodies and spirit with our natural surroundings.
Will come to your home or a public location you feel safe at to do our initial intake sessions. During these sessions we will establish your readiness to go outdoors, discuss outdoor locations for future sessions.
